Second Annual
Loose
on the
Palouse
June 13-15, 2025
What is "Loose on the Palouse" ?
Loose on the Palouse is a West Coast Swing event that has multiple purposes:
Explicitly Create Protected Space
Explicitly create space for BIPOC and Queer dancers in Idaho. You ARE welcome at LotP, and we are happy to facilitate a safe space for you to engage in our community.
Promote DEI
Prioritize Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as a part of our event, and recognize & celebrate the origins of dances in the United States, and how those dances contribute to the history of WCS.
Relaxing & Fun Event
For WCS dancers, we want to provide a relaxing, low-energy event where you can breathe and enjoy yourselves without feeling like you're making critical decisions on what to do next. Jam packed schedules will NOT be a part of this weekend!
Exposure to the Community
Show the Palouse that Social Dances such as West Coast Swing and others are here in the Palouse! So many people don't even know that we exist!
Quick Pickup
For anyone interested in trying West Coast Swing, provide a fast-track course to get one up and dancing in a single day.
Spectator Event
For non-dancers, we want to show what West Coast Swing can do! Feel free to come watch the show with Professional West Coast Swing dancers showing off their stuff!
This event is purely for the community, as a way to show how social dancing is beneficial for the community in so many ways.
For individuals that already dance West Coast Swing, these workshops are targeted towards West Coast Swing dancers that are in the Newcomer and Novice category, who may or may not have any WSDC points.
Book your tickets today! Hope to see you there!

Please Consider Making a Donation!
Loose on the Palouse was such a resounding success last year!
Having said that, startup costs are significant for such an event like this, and we were only successful due to the generous donations from the community. Please consider donating to help us make this year even bigger and better than it was last year! It is a direct way to give back to the community and share some love! Thank you!
